Red Hood is a DC Comics anti-hero identity primarily associated with Jason Todd, the second character to assume the mantle of Robin.

Jason Todd first appeared as Robin in *Batman* #357 (1983). After his death at the hands of the Joker in the storyline "A Death in the Family" (1988), the character was resurrected and adopted the Red Hood persona.

As Red Hood, Jason operates outside the boundaries of Batman's moral code, employing lethal methods in his fight against crime. His history as Robin and subsequent death create a complex and often adversarial relationship with Batman.
